Opened in 1982, the Centro Cultural São Paulo is one of the city's leading public cultural venues and an important meeting point between different artistic languages. Located on Rua Vergueiro, in Liberdade, the CCSP houses cinema, theatre and dance auditoriums, exhibition halls, libraries and communal spaces, with a varied programme open to the whole city. The building is directly connected to Vergueiro station on metro Line 1–Blue, with access from inside the station itself, which makes it especially easy to reach by public transport. The venue hosts film screenings, panels and discussions.

Centro Cultural Olido

In the heart of downtown São Paulo, the Centro Cultural Olido is a public venue devoted to cultural production and circulation, bringing together cinema, dance, music, visual arts, literature and other art forms. With a history tied to the cultural life of the city centre, the Olido keeps a direct relationship with its neighbourhood and with the diversity of its audiences. It is close to the República, Anhangabaú and São Bento metro stations, and served by many bus routes. The venue hosts film screenings.

Instituto Cervantes

Founded by Spain in 1991, the Instituto Cervantes is devoted to promoting the Spanish language and the cultures of Spain and the Spanish-speaking world. In São Paulo, alongside its Spanish teaching, the Institute runs a cultural programme that includes cinema, literature, exhibitions, discussions and other activities, building bridges between Brazilian cultural production and the Hispanic world. The festival's venue is close to the Consolação (Line 2–Green) and Paulista (Line 4–Yellow) metro stations. The Instituto Cervantes hosts the festival's opening night on 16 September.
