After being fifteen years in a prisoner's war camp, Sartorius is getting back for his wife. He meets Bruno and Beatriz, a new-wedding couple, at the train. Beatriz reminds him a lot of his wife. But Sartorius does not know that she died some years ago, and that Bergmann, the architect, keeps the embalmed body in the basement of his house.
